DAY 1 – Date. ARUSHA – MONDULI MAASAI VILLAGE - Beautiful views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt Meru. Your safari driver/guide will pick you up in the morning from your overnight hotel in Arusha and depart for Monduli Maasai village. This is a beautiful village set on the green rolling hills of Monduli mountains bordering the Fereji Game reserve. A light walking safari in the game reserve will precede the cultural activities. You will see here the endangered long necked gerenuk antelope, giraffes and other wildlife. Lunch is picnic in the bush. Evening is dancing time. You'll attend a Maasai warrior dance which you can join in and dance with the warriors and the girls, (the dance has been specifically arranged for your visit). You'll chat with the Maasai elders and visit a family 'boma' (homestead). Tonight the warriors will roast goat meat for you by the camp fire. Wash it down with some chilled drinks while swapping stories under the starry night. Nyika supports developments projects in this area and employs own trained Maasai guides from the village who lead the tours. We contribute US $ 40 for each visit on top what we pay for the tour activities. Dinner and overnight; Monduli Bush camp.
DAY 2 –
MONDULI MAASAI VILLAGE – TARANGIRE N. PARK Early breakfast, drive to Tarangire national park for game drives in the park till lunch time. (picnic lunch) followed by more game drives to SUNSET. Take your best sunset photos before retiring to your campsite. The park supports a good variety of flora and fauna. Tarangire is famous for big herds of elephants, huge baobab trees and many species of birds. 450 recorded. Tarangire river which meanders thru the park attracts a lot of wildlife during the dry season (July - December) Dinner and overnight; Wild palm campsite.
DAY 3 – TARANGIRE – TARANGIRE 'Full Day discover' Tarangire game drives. This day will start with sunrise game drives at 0615am which will give you an opportunity to see some nocturnal animals before they retire for the rest of the day. The morning sunrise lights and sounds of the African wilderness is just something phenomenal. The game drives will go on exploring and enjoying wildlife till 09nish when you'll go back to the campsite for a hearty breakfast. Free time after breakfast. Take advantage of a mild siesta. Hot lunch. Drive out for more game drives to Sunset. Dinner and overnight; Wild palm campsite.
DAY 4 – TARANGIRE – SERENGETI N. PARK – Seronera area
Early B/fast, drive to Serengeti past the magnificent Ngorongoro crater. You'll stop briefly on one of the viewpoints on the rim of the crater for photos. Picnic lunch. Drive on to central Serengeti with game drives en route. SUNSET game drives will be at Seronera river valley area. This part is famous for the big cats. Dinner and overnight; Seronera campsite
DAY 5 – SERENGETI – Ngorongoro CRATER. SUNRISE game drives start at 06:30am till mid-day, when you'll stop for brunch. Break camp and depart for Ngorongoro with game drives en route. Optionally you may stop by the famous Ol'duvai Gorge. A Historical site. A local Anthropologist will deliver a lecture on the Gorge's Natural History. (Museum fee US$ 3 – pay directly). Drive on to Ngorongoro crater. Evening free at the camp. Dinner and overnight. Simba campsite – on the rim of the crater.
DAY 6 – Ngorongoro CRATER – ARUSHA Early breakfast; Descend into the crater by 0654am. Game drives to discover the 'garden of Eden'. You will have at least 6 hrs of game drives in here. The crater is home to the endangered black rhinos and has several prides of lions and other animals. The shallow soda lake in the middle of the crater attracts flocks of flamingoes and other aqua birds. The awesome crater is a magical site for the thirsty eye!! Picnic lunch. Followed by more game drives, later in the day ascend to the rim and drive back to Arusha. Dinner and overnight; Hotel of your choice – not included in the price.

Camping;- Facilities at the campsites are basic shared with other campers. Hot showers? yes sometimes, recharge cameras? yes all the time from the jeep converter or at the campsites. Tent comfortable? Yes, big tent for 6 person used only by 2 people. You can stand upright in the middle. 4 inches thick foam mattress, soft pillows and beddings. Bring your own sleeping bag for maximum comfort. We provide the rest of the camping gears. Good food? Oh yeah! delicious and handsome African potions - full breakfasts, picnic lunches and 3 course dinners. Supplies are fresh from the market. Vegetarian meals or not as per your choice. Suggest a menu and the safari cook may do it for you! Birthday cakes while on safari? yes. The guide will mobilize guys at the camp to sing for you. Most probably some hyenas and friends from the neighborhood wild will join in. Who takes care of the camp chores and my tent? The safari cook. Give a helping hand? Yes, you're warmly welcome.
Transport while on Safari;- On this Safari we'll provide our special Safari Jeep - Land Rover 110 Tdi 4WD or Toyota Landcruizer 4WD. The vehicle is fitted with a pop - up roof for game viewing and photographing. Each person has a window seat. The driver is also the guide by qualifications. He is knowledgeable in flora and fauna and Tanzanian culture.
Suggested Parking list:- comfortable fitting clothes (neutral colors and wrinkle free preferred); 2 or more loosely fitting long sleeves shirts and 2 short sleeves shirts, shorts and long trousers, 1safari vest with several pockets, 1 kepi or hat (wide rimmed for sun protection), jersey or safari jacket for evenings.
- Others – Safari binoculars, (a warm sleeping bag) Light weight safari shoes or trainers, sandals, sunglasses, sun creams, insect repellent creams, a light weight first aid kit, day pack for your cameras and personals, rucksack for your safari gears and clothes.

Terms and Conditions; The safari Price is inclusive of:- Park entry fees, camping fees, Ngorongoro crater conservation fee, 3 delicious meals per day, bottled drinking water, Driver/Guide and safari cook fees and allowances, Transport including fuel for the entire safari. Contribution to village developments projects and salaries to local guides. Service of our safari cook. He takes care of all camping chores. Extras not included in the price; drinks (soft or alcoholic) Hotels before and after safari in Arusha, Tips to Driver/guide and cook (highly recommended – about $ 15 per day to the driver and cook US $ 13 per car) Flights (domestic/international), Visa and transit visas, personal travel insurances and evacuation fees. The safari will start and end in Arusha. Claims from tourists for not provided services or for services of inadequate quality will be considered immediately after the safari. Should the claims be recognized as reasonable, reimbursement for not provided services shall be made. Force-majeure circumstances (acts of elements, fire, military hostilities, crime, government acts, etc.), as a result of which part or the whole safari is cancelled, shall release Nyika Treks & safaris ltd of any liabilities. Validity of the safari price; April to December 2010. Prices are subject to change if the Parks fees are increased by The Government. Payments; We request a 15% deposit by Bank Telegraphic transfer to secure bookings and the balance can be paid in US $ cash or Euro cash in our office in Arusha before the safari departure. Or by Credit Card to our Bankers in the US. Once the deposit is received your place in the safari is guaranteed. Cancellation Policy;
All cancellations must be received in writing. If a cancellation is received less than 10 days from date of departure, the safari balance is due in full. If a cancellation is made 45 -30 days prior to the safari date, a refund of 50% of the full amount will be granted. If a cancellation is made 15 days or less, no refund will be granted.
